OLR Romanian Champions League – The Road to Glory!

🔸 General Information
The OLR Romanian Champions League Loft operates as a legally registered entity.
Please read this regulation carefully to ensure you are familiar with all the important details regarding the competition’s organization.
Compliance with these rules ensures transparency, fairness, and equal opportunities for all participants.

🔸 General Conditions
- The loft is not responsible for individually notifying each participant.
→ All fanciers are kindly asked to read the entire regulation carefully! - Each participant is responsible for checking the correct names and ring numbers of the pigeons handed over.
- In the case of activations, the fancier must ensure that the number of active pigeons matches the confirmed list.
- By handing over the pigeons, ownership rights are transferred to the OLR Romanian Champions League.
- By registering and submitting pigeons, participants declare that they fully accept and comply with the rules of the loft.
🔸 Fees and Teams
- Standard team: 5 + 2 pigeons free
- Participation fee: €250 / team
- Activation fee: €80 / pigeon
- Exchange rate: Official BNR (National Bank of Romania) rate on the respective day
- The number of teams or pigeons entered by a participant is unlimited, as long as the 5 + 2 format is respected.
- 🔸 Prizes 2026
Total prize fund: €110,000 — calculated based on 1,500 activated pigeons.
- The Top 3 Final prizes are GUARANTEED, regardless of the final number of active pigeons:
🥇 1st Place – Final: €15,000 + Trophy + Diploma + Gold Medal
🥈 2nd Place – Final: €10,000 + Trophy + Diploma + Silver Medal
🥉 3rd Place – Final: €7,000 + Trophy + Diploma + Bronze Medal - 👉 In the event of a lower number of active pigeons, the total prize amounts will be recalculated proportionally, however, the Top 3 prizes remain guaranteed.
🔸 Capacity and Reception Period
- Loft capacity: 4,000 pigeons
- Reception period: February 15 – June 1, 2026
- Official inventory: May 15, 2026
→ Pigeons lost before this date may be replaced within the current year, until June 1, 2026.
🔸 Payment and Activation Conditions
- Payment is made upon delivery of the pigeons, either in cash or via bank transfer.
- Activation takes place after the last training, but no later than the HS1 race.
- Pigeons not activated by the day of the HS1 race remain the property of the loft and may be activated by any interested person.
🔸 Pigeon Rules
- Pigeons must have 2026 pedigree rings and be accompanied by their original pedigrees (mandatory).
- Pigeons will be chipped upon entry into the loft, at which point their identity will be concealed to ensure transparency throughout the season.
- Pigeons must be vaccinated against paramyxovirus at least 15 days before delivery.
- After collection, all pigeons will receive a booster vaccination administered by the loft.
- Pigeons that do not pass the quarantine period may be replaced until June 1, 2026.
- During the 7-day quarantine, any pigeon showing health issues will be replaced, and the owner will be notified.
- The loft accepts anti-doping tests, at the expense of the claimant.
🔸 Training and Races
- Basketing for training and race stages is carried out in the presence of participants (anyone interested may attend).
- The loft is equipped with a 24/7 video surveillance system, and participants have online access to the cameras, starting from the basketing for Hotspot 1.
- The transport vehicle is veterinary-approved and equipped with a GPS tracking system.
- The loft reserves the right to adjust training dates and distances depending on weather conditions.
📍 Indicative Training Plan:
1 × 7 km, 1 × 20 km, 1 × 35 km, 1 × 57 km, 1 × 88 km, followed by additional training sessions if necessary.
Before the Final, one or two extra training sessions may be organized.
🔸 Rankings
- The AS Classification (Overall Speed) is generated automatically by the Benzing Live system, based on the total accumulated flight time (average speed).
🔸 Derby Race
- All pigeons present in the loft participate in the Derby race, except those reserved for auction (the Top 100 from the Final and the Top 10 AS).
- After the publication of the list of eligible Derby pigeons, owners have 3 days to activate them.
- After this 3-day period, anyone may activate the remaining pigeons.
- Pigeons not activated for the Derby will still participate in the race, but outside the competition, with no right to prizes.
🔸 Pedigrees and Auctions
- Pedigrees must be submitted before basketing for the Final race.
→ Otherwise, the pigeons will not be eligible for auction. - Pigeons will be auctioned based on their arrival order in the Final.
Revenue distribution from sales:
- 40% – Breeder
- 40% – Loft
- 20% – Auction platform commission
- The Top 100 pigeons from the Final and the Top 10 from the AS Ranking will not participate in further races and will be the first to be auctioned.
- Pigeons not sold and not claimed within 5 days become the property of the loft.
- If a pigeon is not sold and the breeder wishes to buy it back, they may do so within 5 days after the auction closes, for a fee of 200 RON.
After this period, the pigeon becomes the property of the loft.
🔸 Award Ceremony
The award ceremony and the official announcement of the results will take place on the day of the Final, at the loft.
🔸 Additional Provisions
- The loft reserves the right to select participants.
- Transport of pigeons from abroad is provided by authorized partners; however, owners are free to choose their preferred transport option.
- In exceptional cases (accidents, theft, epidemics), pigeons lost before the official inventory may be replaced until June 1, 2026.
- In cases of force majeure (epidemics, avian influenza, extreme weather conditions), the organizers reserve the right to modify the training and race schedule, including distances or the date of the Final.
